Subject : Tumi or ceremonial knife reminiscent of a spoon. The embossed gold receptacle represents a profile figure holding a scepter or a weapon. In front of him stands the representation of an animal close to the coyote (almost mythical creature also called AHUITZOTL and often associated with the war).
The Tumis were used in various functions: surgery, war and domestic uses, etc.
Medium : Gold hammered.
Origin: Peru, between 1000 and 1400 PCN - attributed to the Lambayeque region - Probably CHIMU.
Condition : Very good state.
