SCULPTURE REPRESENTING A CHERUB

Standing, holding a skull in his right hand, his right arm drawn up, he is naked and facing front. Many traces of gild remain. The head is slightly turned to the left.

Bronze with a brown patina, reddish in some places.

Italy, late 15th - early 16th century.

Florentine works of Donatello’s entourage. He had probably embellished a cross foot.

Very good condition. Worn traces on the butt are a little lighter than the rest of the bronze.

H_6 cm. L_4,5 cm.

Former Italian 20th century collection.
